How can I live my design?
The first step is conscious recognition and the second step is the other action. This means that if you have noticed while reading that you have been living against your energy so far, then now is the time to act differently. This means that you increasingly follow the things that feel really good to you and that you want from the bottom of your heart. You begin to develop a new body feeling for yourself and increasingly integrate your own intuition, your own way of living your energy.
At this point I would like to give you an intuition exercise where you can feel and test the body feeling. Take two blank white sheets. Write "feather" on one white sheet of paper and "a barrel" on the other white sheet. Now crumple up these two sheets and throw them into the room behind you. You pick up these leaves again, stand with both feet firmly on the ground and hold both crumpled leaves in each hand. Now close your eyes and feel which leaf feels light to you. Your head knows that one of these leaves needs to be lighter. But what does your system and your body say about it? You can try and apply this exercise over and over again, so that you follow your authority, strategy and energy more and more, and also notice when your body system reacts and how your body reacts. For some, it's a kind of gut feeling or the sacred click in the generator. For others, it is a very short impulse from the spleen center. Others get very warm and still others can speak immediately or have an idea which of these pieces of paper is the "easier" one. It is important to get into your body with this exercise and also to observe when your head starts to chatter. Feel free to incorporate this exercise into your everyday life. You can write all kinds of things on these pieces of paper and try out how YOU react.
What are beliefs?
A belief is something that someone believes in. It is your own truth, which you have created based on your previous experiences, beliefs or even your upbringing. These are an integral part of you and your subconscious and should initially be considered completely value-free. As children, we create beliefs so that we can find our way around the world better and develop a kind of "highway with crash barriers" for ourselves in which we can move. Beliefs are only 10% recognizable and explainable by our mind. A full 90% of our beliefs are brought out by the subconscious again and again when we need them. Attention: A belief is not a bad thing. However, it can be limiting if it is outdated and no longer conducive to your life. For example, we adopt many beliefs from our parents and teachers in childhood, but do not dissolve them in adulthood if we are allowed to take responsibility for our own lives. Human design can give us access to recognizing beliefs.
Examples of limiting beliefs:
I have to be different so that people can love me. – I am not heard/seen. – I am alone. – I can't trust anyone. – I must not cry. – Examples of positive beliefs: – I am good the way I am. – I can cope with any situation. - I am entitled to my personal happiness. - I let go of everything that is not good for me. - I belong to no one else but myself. - My knowledge helps others. Basic Understanding: Elements of the Human Design Chart On the cover pages of this book you will find the specific elements that we see in the body diagram. An explanation of the elements and what details of our personality are revealed by them can be found here: Energy Type: Your Basic Energy, Interaction with the Environment Your energy type (Generator, Manifestor, Projector, Manifesting Generator, Reflector) describes your basic energy and how you interact with your environment. There are currently 5 types in Human Design.
Strategy: Your communication with others:
Strategy is an intelligence or mechanism in your body that shows you if something is right or wrong for you. By following this strategy, you can make the most of your potential to find harmony within yourself and with all the people around you. Your strategy will be created with your basic type.
Authority: How do I make decisions?
Your authority shows you how best to make decisions and which "mechanisms" work in the decision-making process. It is your tool to give yourself a direction and is completely independent of logic and the level of reason. This inner compass shows you your way directly at all times. In Human Design, there are 7 authorities.
Profil: What roles do I take on in life?
Your profile (e.g. 5/1) shows you your sun coat that you like to wear and thus represents a kind of role with which you bring out your potential. How you approach your life's purpose with this "role" and in which area your gifts and shadow issues show and develop, you can find out here. There are 12 profiles in Human Design.
Centers – Receiving, Feeling, Perceiving and Sending:
Your centers show you which elements of your personality you unshakably carry to the outside world and give into the world, as well as your feeling for everything that affects you. The centers receive the energies of others and your environment and pass on your energy to others and the environment. In Human Design, we find 9 centers.
Gates – your gifts, talents and shadows:
The gates show you concretely which gifts and talents you bring with you (e.g. Gate of Logic, the Leader) and which shadow themes (e.g. dominance, fanaticism) come into play in you. In total, there are 64 gates in Human Design, which reflect our 64 gene keys.
Lines – how and where to live out your genes
The lines in Human Design describe your individual expression of genetic factors and show you how this affects your worldview, how you interact and in which environment you can perfectly live out/transform this gene. In Human Design, there are 6 lines.
Channels – Energy in your veins:
The channels describe what energy flows in your veins (e.g. Materialist Channel, Mother Theresa Channel). Two gates always connect to form a channel and have a formative energy for your personality. There are a total of 36 channels in Human Design.
Supplement:
If you are interested in the other elements and their meaning, then go to the FAQ section at the end of the book, there I have listed all the other elements of Human Design, but they are irrelevant to understanding your basics at first.
Summary – In Human Design, we find:
5 Basic Types = Basic Energy with Strategies = Communication with the World
7 Authorities = Inner Compass for Decisions
12 profiles = your roles in life
9 Centers = Sending (giving), receiving (feeling) energy
36 channels = energy in your veins
64 goals = your gene keys with talent, gift, shadow
6 lines = how where you live out your genes
The Human Design Experiment – a step-by-step process:
"It just happens the further I go. It's automatically there, the more I allow and recognize myself."
In the Human Design Experiment with/on myself and in conversations with analysts, trainers, coaches and clients, I have found that we go through a step-by-step process when we take a closer look at Human Design and dive deeper. I realize that in all these phases there is a certain magic and knowledge of one's own person, of one's own being and therefore I don't want to pretend that everyone "has to" go through all phases in order to have brilliant AHA moments for themselves and to continue on their path in life. Human Design can be used as a unique companion, but it is also there to dive very, very deep and make it a signpost for years to come.
The cognitive process at Human takes place in 4 phases, which for me mainly differ in "understanding knowledge" and "integrating and living knowledge" to the point where I can live out a large part of my potential in this life.
The longer you are in the Human Design experiment, the better you understand your own body mechanisms and what it means to act in a certain way.
Phase 1+2 = Consciousness, understanding with the mind:
In the first two phases, I often experience big, shining eyes and the WOW effect. What is clearly evident is that people recognize themselves through Human Design and feel seen in depth. This conscious recognition and understanding usually triggers a change of perspective and you start to change the way you see yourself and the people around you. Here you can get an insight into the sentences I heard after my first contact with Human:
"It's as if someone gives you permission to finally follow the inner call that you've somehow always suppressed."
"It reinforces my belief that I have never been wrong with who I am. It shows me that I don't help anyone if I don't live authentically, but adapt."
